Sarah Lee began her saxophone studies in the heavily jazz influenced area of southern New Jersey and Philadelphia.  Recently, she returned to school at Jacksonville University and received her B.A. in jazz studies.  Sarah is the creator of Blue Muse Jazz and also manages and performs with The Chris Thomas Band.  Sarah has taught privately including a music program for at-risk elementary age children. 

Jonah Pierre, jazz pianist and world percussionist, has been a student of music for the past 17 years. He has had the opportunity to play and/or study with greats like Gary Bartz, Marcus Belgrave, Wendell Logan, Jamie Haddad, Rick Kirkland, Chris Potter, Robert Conti, Tony Steve and Dan Wall.  A graduate of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and Oberlin College, Jonah now works as a local musician and private teacher.

 

Jarrett Carter attended the Oberlin Conservatory of Music where he earned a BM in Jazz studies. He is a graduate of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and was a member of the D.A. Big Band that won Essentially Ellington in 2006.  Jarrett has studied with guitarists Barry Green, James Hogan, and Don Casper. He has also performed for classical guitarists Dusan Bogdanovic and Andrew York.  Jarrett resides in Jacksonville and is a full time musician.

 

Cody Wheaton studied jazz and performed classical Tuba and Bass as a graduate of Jacksonville University with a B.A. in Music. Cody has performed with world class musicians and composers such as Chris Potter, Delfeayo Marsalis, Rich Redenour, composers Robert W. Smith, Richard Saucedo, and James Curnow. Cody performs primarily with Blue Muse and The Chris Thomas Band. Besides being a freelance musician Cody also teaches privately and performs at multiple churches and musicals productions around Jacksonville.

Evan Peterson is a drummer and percussionist from Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Douglas Anderson H.S. and received his B.A. in music from Jacksonville University. He has performed extensively in Macau China, Abu-Dhabi United Emirates and at the Utah Shakespeare Festival.  Evan is a full time musician.

 

Javian Francis is originally from Palm Beach, Florida and graduated with a B.M. in jazz studies from the University of North Florida.  His greatest influence is Herbie Hancock.  He also performs with the John Lumpkin Trio, The Chris Thomas Band, and performs with are Adventist and Baptist churches.
